Gameday weekend events

Gather a team of four and enjoy a 9-hole golf scramble benefiting the Palouse Discovery Science Center. This community event offers a fun way for WSU families, alumni, and friends to spend time together while supporting local science education and outreach.

In just 90 minutes, you’ll roll, cut, sculpt, and texture a completely one-of-a-kind ceramic mug — no experience needed, just presence and a willingness to get a little clay under your fingernails. Add details that mean something. Make it funny. Make it beautiful. Make it yours. There’s not another  like it anywhere. Just like you guys.

Finished mugs are kiln-fired and glazed after the workshop, coming out food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe. Built to be used. Built to last. Built to hold something warm every single day.

🐾 WSU Family Weekend — October 2–4

One of WSU’s oldest and most beloved traditions is waiting for you after the game!

Since 1892, the Victory Bell has been part of Cougar history. Following every home Cougar Football victory, fans are invited to the Lewis Alumni Centre to help continue the tradition by ringing the Victory Bell themselves.

Originally used to signal class changes on campus, the bell later became a symbol of Cougar football triumphs and today serves as a gathering point for fans celebrating a win. Stop by after the game, take your turn ringing the bell, snap a photo, and celebrate with fellow Cougs.

Please note: Victory Bell ringing takes place only after home Cougar Football victories. The bell is available for fan ringing shortly after the game concludes and remains available for approximately 45 minutes, or until crowds have dispersed.

Before the Cougs take on Fresno State, join us at the Lewis Alumni Centre for the Crimson & Gray Gathering. Whether you’re visiting campus for the first time, returning for a favorite tradition, or spending the weekend with your Cougar, it’s a great place to relax, connect, and kick off game day. Enjoy music, family friendly activities, free treats, Cougar traditions, and plenty of Crimson & Gray spirit.

Make mini golf part of your Family Weekend plans! Take on two unique 18-hole courses filled with fun challenges and plenty of friendly competition. And for Family Weekend, we’re adding a few special challenges to the courses—can your family conquer them all?

Play one round for $15 or grab the $25 all-day pass for unlimited access to both courses. When you’re ready for a break, grab a bite from the snack bar, challenge the family to some yard games, and keep the fun going!

Meet Washington State University athletes and Butch T. Cougar while sampling award-winning Cosmic Crisp® apples, Ferdinand’s ice cream, and other student-made products at the Ag Innovation Harvest Market.

The second of two Harvest Markets taking place this fall, the Ag Innovation Harvest Market is 4-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Mooberry Track and Field on the Pullman campus.

This event is part of Fall Family Weekend, ahead of the Fresno State football game and the first Ag Innovation Day. Showcasing Washington agriculture, the Oct. 2 Ag Innovation Market will feature the Washington Tree Fruit Research Commission, Northwest Cherries, USA Pears, the Washington Grain Commission, Dairy West, AgWest Farm Credit Services, Fay Ranches, Adams Tractor, and the Washington State Potato Commission.

Market participants include the WSU volleyball and soccer teams as well as multiple WSU student and research programs and ag partners offering samples and products. This event will include free Cosmic Crisp® apples and French fry samples. WSU mascot Butch T. Cougar will attend from 4 to 5 p.m.

Admission is free for all.

The Golden Hollow Fall Festival at Schmuck Park brings the community and visitors together to celebrate the end of Fall harvest on the Palouse with a pumpkins, beer garden, and a local vendor market. Gather in the park, get creative, and decorate a locally grown, giant pumpkin! Bring the family to enjoy story time and traditional outdoor games. Relax in the Autumn breeze with warm local eats and fall-inspired drinks.

Walk the Art Walk on Main Street and see local art work from the community and professionals on the Palouse. Find Colfax murals, the painted fish along the concrete river, and Codger Pole- the World’s tallest chainsaw carved, wooden sculpture.

Schmuck Park is located on the North end of Colfax on E 6th Street behind the Colfax City Pool.

Join us for a Painted Timber DIY class on SATURDAY, October 3rd from 2-4:30pm for a creative experience unlike any other. Choose between five laser-cut wood designs and bring your piece to life as you paint and assemble each section like a puzzle.

Guided by local artist and owner of Craft Artbar and Palouse Woodgrain, this hands-on workshop blends the ease of paint-by-number with the satisfaction of piecing together a finished woodgrain artwork to take home. It is what happens when a puzzle and a paint experience come together in the most satisfying way.

All materials and first tasty beverage are provided. Do not miss this unique, tactile art experience. Craft Artbar Studio is located in downtown Moscow at 118 E. Third Street. Also open all weekend for open studio hours to paint your own pottery, glass, canvas and wood exploration.

Kick off Homecoming Weekend at the WSUAA Homecoming Pep Rally, one of WSU’s longest standing traditions, where Cougar spirit takes center stage and the Lewis Alumni Centre becomes the ultimate celebration.
